Prayer is one wing. The other is faith. With both you can be lifted up high. Nobody could ever fly with just one wing. Prayer without faith doesn’t make sense, neither does faith without prayer. But if your faith is very weak you can repeat continuously: “Lord, add faith in me”, “Give me faith”. A prayer like this is always heard.
The seed, Lord says, grows, to become a tree. Whoever needs air and sun, opens the window. It would be insane for someone to sit behind shut doors and windows and say “there is no light at all, there is no air to breath”.
This picture shows what prayer really is. The mightiness and grace of God is accessible to all and to every place, but, you can’t be a part of it, if you don’t desire it and function through this desire of yours.

You manage to learn a foreign language adequately, when you speak it out loud. In such a way, someone learns how to pray, when he prays. There is no way for us to find what we want without praying.
Praying is the beginning for every effort that tends towards God. Praying lights the flame. And prayer sends the first presentiment of what we should ask. Prayer motivates our mood to go a step further.
Prayer is the foundation of the world. Prayer is the bridge that leads man from his carnal self and his temptations, to his spiritual self and freedom. It’s a defence against the concerns of life, against despair. Praying annihilates sorrow and manipulates rage. Praying is the manna of the soul and the illumination of the mind. So..
